I think I found a bug in my bisection routine for the temperature search in the EOS. I don't yet know how to fix it. I will keep you updated...

Ich bin regelmaessiger Google News Leser. Dabei faellt mir immer wieder auf, dass haeufig Trivialmeldungen/Panoramameldungen in Bereichen auftauchen, die eigentlich serioesen, politischen oder wirtschaftlichen Meldungen vorbehalten sein sollten. Beispiel: "Renée Zellweger war gerne vollbusig" haelt sich jetzt seit 3 (DREI) Tagen in "International".
Das kann doch nicht sein! Koennten sie einen Filter implementieren, der solchen Muell herausfiltert bzw. eine Moeglichkeit fuer den User bereitstellen, solche Meldungen zu unterdruecken?
Noch ein Kommentar zur Aktualitaet: Die Landung des Space Shuttles Discovery diese Woche ist stundenlang nicht in Google News aufgetaucht. Was lief da schief?

Okay. I seem to have localized the problem. There's also a cure at hand.
What has happened is the following: Since I usually use 32^3 grid points per refinement level in octant mode, information from all coarse grid points is needed for prolongation into the refined region (when using full Berger-Oliger; which I am). So in the run in question, the simulation screwed up on the coarsest grid and the faulty data got prolongated onto finer grids and spread there. BANG.
The only way to cure this is to use bigger grids. 40 zones in one direction in octant, 80 in bitant mode.

Woke up at 10:47. Decided it was better to stay home. Made some good strong coffee. Am working now.
I am feeling good. The weather is a pain, but I love the city. There is much going on in my life. Yes, I am feeling happy this morning. :-)
